Update on Special Delivery
In April of this year, as the COVID-19 pandemic’s reach more deeply permeated the world and the shutdowns and lockdowns became more widespread, I envisioned a project called Special Delivery. The project did not take off as well as I’d hoped, and then my work life became too busy to spend any more time on it. As the year ends, I wanted to give a final update on the project.
As of today, this pay-what-you-want product on DriveThru RPG was downloaded 384 times. Less than 20% of the people who downloaded gave any money for it, but thanks to some very generous folks, it still earned $334. With 30% going to DTRPG for their normal cut, that earned me $234. As promised, that money will be donated to the Red Cross. I’m going to round that up to $500 as a thank you to those of you who did reach out and offer your support. I hope everyone is staying safe and well as these trying times continue, and I hope that the games you play and the fun you create with each other will help you all weather this storm.
